FAQ

  • How do you make your sculptures?

All my framed artwork is digitally sculpted in a program called Zbrush. I start out from a simple sphere and eventually sculpt this out to the creature I had in mind. Often times I will make a rough concept sketch in Photoshop before jumping directly into sculpting. After I have completed the sculpt, I bring it into my 3D slicer software to prep the model for 3D printing. All my prints are printed on an Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra MSLA printer.

  • Are your sculptures handpainted?

Yes! All of my sculptures, including artdolls, are painted by hand. I use an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS airbrush for the overall color scheme and then continue to paint with a normal paintbrush to add shadows, highlights and details. After I’m done painting I seal my work with either a matt or satin varnish. Check out my Instagram and Facebook for process videos.

I use Vallejo Game and Vallejo Model acrylic paints.

  • Will you remake some of the creatures you already sold?

I reprint my framed artwork sculptures, however every single one is painted differently and are therefor unique. It is unlikely that I will recreate the exact same color scheme as I enjoy exploring new combinations and themes. There will always be slight changes and differences to make every creature special. However, I will recreate fan art pieces once in a while due to popular demand.

If you’re looking for a specific species - don’t worry! I try to incorporate multiple species at a time with every new shop update.

  • Can I mount your framed artwork on a wall?

Yes! All frames have the possibility to be mounted on a wall or placed on a surface.

Please check the dimensions of the artwork you wish to purchase to make sure it will fit wherever you would like to mount or place it.

  • What does your work cost, on average?

The price varies depending on the piece of artwork. Art dolls usually cost around €700-800. Framed artwork, such as Draconem, range between €300-400.
